SUN DAMAGE & AGE SPOTS

Sun damage and age spots are both related to UV exposure, but they manifest differently. Age spots, also known as sun spots or liver spots, are flat, darker areas of skin that appear due to prolonged sun exposure and the skin's attempt to protect itself. Sun damage, on the other hand, encompasses a broader range of skin changes caused by UV radiation, including sunburn, wrinkles, rough texture, and hyperpigmentation.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) therapy is effective for sun damage because it targets and breaks down excess melanin, reducing hyperpigmentation and age spots, while also stimulating collagen production for improved skin elasticity and texture. This dual action helps to reverse some of the visible effects of sun exposure, leading to a more even skin tone and a more youthful appearance.

Microneedling is effective for sun damage because it stimulates collagen and elastin production, which helps to repair and rejuvenate skin that has been damaged by the sun. This process leads to a reduction in hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, and other signs of sun damage, resulting in a more even skin tone and texture.

Chemical peels are effective for sun damage because they exfoliate the damaged outer layers of skin, promoting the growth of new, healthier skin cells. This process helps to reduce the appearance of sunspots, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and wrinkles, while also improving skin tone and texture.
