About Rise Medical Aesthetics
Rise Medical Aesthetics is Nanaimo’s leading luxury medical spa, located at #107 4474 Wellington Road, Nanaimo, BC V9T 2H3. We specialize in cosmetic injectables and advanced skin treatments delivered by our team of specialist Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses. Our clinic features breathtaking lake views, warm West Coast design, and over 60 years of combined nursing expertise.
All injectable treatments are performed by our team of highly qualified Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners — led by founder Laura McIntyre, NP, who has over 7 years of injection experience and completed her Nurse Practitioner degree in 2019. Our skin treatments are delivered by Brianna McGavin, our Licensed Medical Aesthetician who has been practising for over 18 years. Every team member is trained to the highest clinical standards.
Yes. Rise Medical Aesthetics operates as a regulated medical practice fully compliant with BCCNM (British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives). All nurses uphold the standards of CSASN (Canadian Society of Aesthetic Nurse Specialists). We use only Health Canada authorized products, follow evidence-based protocols, and conduct quarterly safety reviews. Your health and safety are our top priority.
We combine specialist Nurse-level clinical expertise with the ambiance of a luxury med spa — featuring lake views, natural light, and warm wood tones. Unlike many cosmetic clinics, every injector on our team holds advanced nursing credentials. We prioritize personalized care and patient education in a judgment-free environment, and we take confidentiality as a top priority.

Absolutely. Our clinic serves clients from across Central and North Vancouver Island, including Cowichan Bay, Duncan, Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Port Alberni, Courtenay, Cumberland, Comox, and Campbell River. Many clients make the drive specifically for our specialist-level injectors and serene clinic environment.

You can book online 24/7 through our Jane App portal at risemedspa.janeapp.com. You can also call us at 778-716-6901 or email info@risemedaesthetics.com during clinic hours. We typically respond to inquiries within one business day.
Yes, and we genuinely value this step. Your first appointment includes a private consultation where we discuss your goals, review your medical history, assess your anatomy, and build a personalized treatment plan together. We can then proceed with treatment on your first visit, though there’s no pressure to do so — we want you to feel informed and confident before any treatment begins.
Please contact us directly at 778-716-6901 or info@risemedaesthetics.com for our current consultation fee information. We also offer a complimentary “New to Rise” inquiry form where you can ask our injectors a question before your first visit.
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or reschedules. A $78.75 fee applies for no-shows. After three missed appointments, online booking may be restricted and you’ll need to call to rebook. We understand that life happens — just reach out as early as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
We recommend booking a few weeks in advance to secure your preferred time and injector. If you’re planning around an event or have a specific date in mind, booking earlier is always a good idea. We do occasionally have last-minute openings — call us to check availability.
