What are Injectable Neuromodulators?

Cosmetic or Therapeutic injections of botulinum toxin, commercially known as Botox or Dysport are commonly used to temporarily reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is a quick, non-invasive treatment that will smooth facial lines. This relieves a stressed or tired look, providing a more relaxed and refreshed appearance. Book an in-person consultation to chat about Cosmetic or Therapeutic Botox and how it can improve your natural beauty.

How will Neuromodulators benefit my skin?
Sun exposure, aging, and repeated facial movements such as smiling, squinting, or frowning, eventually lead to undesirable fine lines and wrinkles in the skin. Injectable Neuromodulator products like Botox and Dysport deliver a quick and easy way to look naturally younger and more rejuvenated without a lengthy recovery period. This anti-wrinkle treatment is most commonly used to smooth and prevent frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal lines on the forehead, and crow’s feet around the eyes.
How much injectable Neuromodulator will I need?

The amount of injectable neuromodulator you will need depends on several factors including:

  • area being treated

  • cosmetic or medical purpose of treatment

  • strength of facial muscles

  • depth of wrinkle/crease

  • gender

  • metabolism

  • face shape and size

A consultation will answer all your questions and develop an individual treatment plan specific to your needs. Here’s the recommended units needed to treat common areas:

  • Frown or Glabellar Lines: 15-35 units

  • Crow’s feet: 6-15 units per side

  • Forehead lines: 10-30 units

  • Eyebrows: 2-5 units per side

  • Nasalis “Bunny lines": 5-10 units

  • Upper lip lines: 4-8 units

  • Smile lift: 3-6 units

  • Dimpled chin: 2-6 units

  • Marionette lines: 2-8 units

  • Gummy smile: 2-4 units

How much Dermal Filler will I need?

The amount of Dermal Filler you need depends on many different factors, such as what the health and condition your skin is in and what your desired results are. Generally, the older you get, the more filler you need to correct age-related changes.

At your consultation, our knowledgeable injectors will create a unique treatment plan to address your concerns. Here's a general treatment guideline for Dermal Filler:

  • Lips:1-2 syringes

  • Cheeks: 2-4 syringes

  • Nasolabial Folds: 1-2 syringes

  • Tear Trough: 1-2 syringes

  • Jawline Contouring: 2-4 syringes

  • Temples: 2-4 syringes

  • Brow Lifting: 1 syringe

  • Frown Lines: 1 syringe

  • Facial Sculpting: 4-8 syringes

What should I expect after a treatment?

After getting any Neuromodulator or Dermal Filler injections, you should not do any exercise for 24 hours or lay down for 4 hours after your treatment.  We don't want the treatment to move to any other areas of your face while it's settling in. Try not to touch the site of your injection 24-48 hours after your treatment. This includes facials, massage, and acupuncture, so schedule those appointments before or at least 2 days after your treatment.

The side effects associated with Neuromodulator and Dermal Filler injections are relatively mild and may include bruising, soreness, and swelling around the injection area. When performed by our well trained team, the injections themselves are associated with minimal pain and no downtime.

When will I see the results of the my Neuromodulator or Dermal Filler treatment? How long will it last?

Neuromodulator treatment effects can be seen as early as 3 to 4 days after an injection. Most patients will see results within 10 to 14 days, but should wait a full 14 days to see the maximum results. Results will vary, but will generally last 3 to 4 months.

Dermal Filler results are immediate.  Some swelling and bruising is normal and optimal results will be apparent 2 to 3 days after your treatment. Dermal Fillers last anywhere from 6 to 12 months and depend on how fast your body metabolizes the product.

What is the cost of Botox and Dysport?

The cost is $10/unit.

What is the cost of Dermal Filler?

The cost is $600 a syringe. Consecutive syringes during the same treatment are $450.  We do not offer half syringes.

What about follow-up appointments?

At Rise Medical Aesthetics, we are committed to ensuring that you are satisfied with your treatment results. A follow-up appointment scheduled 2 weeks after your Neuromodulator injection is recommended to assess your results.

We are here to provide any fine touch ups if required. Please note during the consultation your provider will recommend a suggested amount of units based on their assessment. It is recommended not to go under this amount as you may find yourself wanting additional treatment after 2 weeks.

We are happy to make fine adjustments up to 5 units at no additional cost. Over and above this amount, the touch up will be charged at the regular rate of $10/unit.

Dermal Filler follow-ups are performed when our patients would like additional volume or any corrections from the treatment.  Price will vary and is case by case.
